Because of You, God

Because of You
I have life.
I am a princess and part
of the bride of Christ.

Because of You
I have a song.
You gave me a Godly man
whose love is strong.

Because of You
I am warmed.
You gave me Delight,
my lucky charm.

Because of You
I can smile.
You gave me my Sunshine,
whose joy lasts for miles.

Because of You
I am amazed.
You gave me my sweet Valentine
to cherish and raise.

Because of You,
I have hope.
You gave me my Blossom
to guard and watch grow.


Because of You
I am blessed:
-with life,
-with song,
-with happiness.

"Ample Dandelions"

There are ample dandelions
to wish on, collect, and see--
Yet is there ample faith and trust
between You and me?

You've granted me everything I need
and plenty of wants along the way--
Yet when I don't always get what I seek
I waiver in my ways.

Because of what you've done for me,
You are worthy of each day's praise
and if I never recieve another blessing,
may my hands still be raised.

Help me be content, dear Lord
and try to grow like you more and more--
and see that there are ample dandelions
and that you are faithful forevermore.

"Delightful Beginning"
A wish, a longing
An answered prayer
Pumpkin, an "it"
Yet I already care.

High spirited, strong
independent for sure
But I wouldn't have asked
God for anything more.

A sugar, a booger
sometimes sweet,
sometimes not.
But always compassionate
to those you come across.

We love you to pieces
even to this day
A delightful beginning
to our family we can truly say.

God is so good
and Him we must adore;
For blessing us with you--
daddy's girl & mommy's world!

Afraid of a boy
and what that might mean,
So glad God knows better
& what exactly I need.

You are my sunshine
--a bright spot in my day.
And your sweetness shines
through in so many ways.

A Bubby, A Buddy
All boy for sure--
But when I'm feeling down
you are often the cure.

You have a sweet nature
so sensitive and smart,
But you are also quite funny
and always warm my heart.

Grow up to be a superhero
or whatever you may dare--
as long as God guides your footsteps
& you lay them in His care.

Now I can't imagine
our family without my boy;
You are a true blessing from God
and you bring me such joy!

"The Lord is Good"
Will you be my Valentine?
I asked my newest little dear.
Oh yes, he kicked me from within--
soon I will be there.

Will you love to cuddle with me?
I asked my teddy bear.
Oh yes, he cooed while in my arms--
and smiled from ear to ear.

Will you stay awhile?
I asked him most sincere.
Oh yes, he said from his room--
his giggles I could hear.

My valentine, my caboose
my cuddly teddy bear,
I want to watch you grow & grow
--yet keep you very near.

So as I hold you in my arms
The truth is very clear--
I love you more than you'll ever know
and thank God for my answered prayer!

A Brave Mom......

Being the mom I need to be, by....
Resting on His promises, 
Adoring my Lord & Savior, 
Valuing my kids uniqueness that makes them "them"
Exercising discipline on myself and children when needed;

Making healthy choices to extend each of our lives,
Offering open and honest communication, and
Making fun memories along the way.

Life is good.  Life is fun. I like to be the life of the party.
I like to be fun.  God has given us good and perfect gifts here
on this earth. Enjoy them! Dance! Laugh! Sing! Play!
Learn something new.  Live life abundantly.
Do things that may allow a long life ---
a long fun, good life!

Christ: Heart & Soul

Immanuel, Thank you for your body.

That left perfect for the imperfect.

That left all that is good for what is often evil.  

That left your position of King to come down to be servant.

That left exaltation to become humbled.

That said “Thy will be done.”

That willingly died to give me life.

Thank you for your heart that died for me.

Messiah, Thank you for your blood.

That is pure and good.

That provides mercy and forgiveness.

That gives peace and righteousness.

That shares love and grace.

That seeks those who are lost.

That redeems and offers a rich inheritance.

Thank you for your soul that bled for me.
